White glad to be scrimmaging again

Heisman Trophy winner Jason White talks about Sunday's scrimmage.

Below is a transcript of Sooner quarterback Jason White's postgame interview with reporters.

On Adrian Peterson's injury
"It's part of the game, and I'm sure he knows that too. I think he'll bounce back just like anybody else from the injury. He's got a good work ethic. I think he'll be back soon."

On if him getting more reps than expected in today's scrimmage was his call or the coaches
"That was part of the coaches gameplan. I didn't go through spring. I need the work. I need all the reps I can get. I'm happy. I went every series today."

On his touchdown pass to Travis Wilson
"They've been working hard on going up and getting balls. I kind of overthrew him on that, and he jumped up and grabbed it. It was a great catch. He made a great play on it."

On where he is now compared to where he was last year
"Just the knowledge of the offense. I feel like I know it a little bit better than I did last year at this time. I continue to learn more about the offense, so I think that's the biggest thing for me this year."

On the offensive performance in the scrimmage
"Overall, I thought it was a pretty good scrimmage for the offense. Usually, the first scrimmage you're kind of sloppy with a lot of penalties. A lot of offsides and stuff. Today, we had a pretty good showing of that and really worked hard on the run game today. We took a step forward with that, and there's always room for improvement with it."
