Sooners stay unbeaten after rout of Montana State

LaNeishea Caufield scored a career-high 33 points in Oklahoma's 86-62 blowout win over Montana State

If there was to ever be a "perfect game" in college basketball Oklahoma senior guard LaNeishea Caufield almost pulled it off.

Caufield scored a career-high 33 points as No. 3 Oklahoma (9-0) remained unbeaten after their 86-62 rout of Montana State (4-4) Saturday in Norman.

Caufield connected on 13-of-15 shot attempts and a went 6-for-6 from the free throw line. The senior from Ada did not miss a shot until the 17:27 mark of the second half and her 20 first half points were just two less than Montana State's first half total as a team.

Oklahoma led by only six points eight minutes into the game, but closed the first half with a 31-7 run and never looked back after leading Montana State 52-22 at halftime.

Stacey Dales nearly recorded another double-double finishing with 13 points and nine assists while Caton Hill and Jamie Talbert each finished in double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively.

With the win the Sooners are 9-0 for the first time since the 1984-85 season.

The Bobcats were led by Jessica Blake and Cassie Johnson with 14 points each.
