RECRUITING: Texas Giant has "fantastic"

Waco OL nearly commits, still plans on taking visits despite leaning to OU after trip

LeQUALAN McDONALD, OL, 6'6, 325, 5.1, WACO, TEXAS:

JH: How did you enjoy your visit to OU go on Saturday?

LM: It was fantastic and I really can't put into words how well I enjoyed the visit. Everything about OU was first class and football is very important there. The academic support system is first rate and it is improving all the time. The facilities are getting better and the commitment to football is overwhelming. The coaches are very positive and I can tell they want you to succeed on and off the field. I just can't imagine that there is a better place to play football than at OU.

JH: Did you commit to OU this weekend?

LM: No, but I certainly thought about it. I was very close, but I made a commitment too myself and my family that I would take my visits, and totally evaluate what is the best situation for me. I think I already know that, but I need to finish out the process and then decide.

JH: Before the visit you said that OU and Baylor were tied, is that still the case?

LM: No, OU is out in front and it's by a wide margin. I am going to Oklahoma State this weekend, then LSU and Texas A&M in January. I guess you could say that I am a big lean to OU, but again I need to finish out the process.
