RECRUITING: Baton Rouge LB excited about visit

Baton Rouge linebacker's decision could come down to Oklahoma and Texas

RUFUS Alexander, LB, 6'2, 215, 4.45, BATON ROUGE CHRISTIAN LIFE, LOUISIANA:

JH: Did you visit anywhere this weekend?

RA: I didn't go anywhere this past weekend. I watched the game between Tennessee and LSU on television and that is about all that I did.

JH: What coaches have you seen this weekend?

RA: I have talked to Coach Bob Stoops and Coach (Brent) Venables from OU, Coach Reese from Texas and Coach Wood from Ole Miss. I was real impressed with the coaches from Oklahoma. They were pretty up front with their whole scheme on defense and how I would fit into their system.

JH: How is recruiting stacking up with you at this time?

RA: I am looking at Texas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M. I would say that Texas and Oklahoma are my top two schools and Alabama and Ole Miss have an outside chance. It's a tie between Texas and Oklahoma with Texas a little more out in front, because I have been talking to them more."

JH: When are you visiting Oklahoma?

RA: I am visiting Oklahoma this weekend. I am looking forward to that visit. It is really exciting for me at this particular time.

JH: Do you see any major difference in Oklahoma and Texas?

RA: There is not much difference between the two. They both have great traditions and they both are well-coached teams. There is not much of a difference there. They are pretty much the same kind of programs, but Oklahoma has more traditions as national champions.
