RECRUITING: Florida LB could take visit Oklahoma

Melbourne, Fla. linebacker Neefy Moffett update.

Neefy Moffett is one of the best all-around linebackers in the country, and he is regarded as a top 10 linebacker prospect in the state of Florida. A three-year starter, Moffett moves inside for the first time in his career.

"I have been an outside linebacker my first two years in high school, but I am moving inside this year," said Moffett. "I like playing outside linebacker better because I have an opportunity to make more big plays."

Last season Moffett finished last year with 95 tackles and 16 sacks. Moffett can bench 325 pounds, squast 515 and he has a 39-inch vertical jump. Moffett went to LSU and Florida State summer camps and did very well at both. Moffett also starts in hoops (8 ppg) and he runs the 100M and throws the shot in track.

Moffett is currently holding 15 offers and he is beginning to narrow down some of his choices.

"I am beginning to figure out who I want to visit and who I like the best," said Moffett. "I like Miami, but I am waiting to see what they want to do. Florida, LSU, Ohio State and Miami are my top four. Miami is the only school that hasn't offered at this point.

"I also like Oklahoma and I am considering them for a visit. They have a great linebacker tradition and they have one of the best programs in the country. I am also talking to Texas and USC. I am not close to making a decision, but I know I have some great schools to choose from."
