RECRUITING: Safety talks about trip to Norman

Alexandria, La. safety Nick Harris update.

Nick Harris, ATH, 6-3, 210, 4.6, ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA:

JH: Are you still traveling?

NH: "Yes, I am still traveling."

JH: What did you think of your visit to Norman?

NH: "I had a great time. Their facilities are extraordinary, the people were great. I had a nice time."

JH: Did the visit enhance the Sooners chances to sign you?

NH: "My visit did enhance my thinking about OU. I now know that OU is very sound academically, which is not always talked about. I learned that the football team wins. And as I have told you before, that is very important to me."

JH: Now that you have watched the defense and talked to the OU defensive coaches, what are your thoughts on how you might fit into that defense?

NH: "I think I would fit great in that defense. I think I can come in and start learning right off the bat. OU plays their safeties the way we play them in high school. I don't think I would have any problem fitting into what they are doing. I don't think that would be a problem at any position that I am considering at OU."

JH: What would you say about the Sooners chances to sign you?

NH: "OU has just as good a chance as any other school that I am going to visit. The way I look at it is that I don't have any favorites right now and I need to keep saying that until I take a few more visits. I can say that OU has made a great and lasting impression on me."

JH: Did you see the town much or did you meet many fans?

NH: "I learned that the people are very dedicated fans. I was pretty much around the team and I learned how they carried themselves in the pregame and how the fans responded to them. It was a great atmosphere on game day in Norman."

JH: Are you back in the recruiting trail next week?

NH: "I go to Texas A&M this weekend."
