RECRUITING: Houston OL enjoyed visit

Houston, Texas offensive lineman Tony Ugoh says the Sooners will be near the top come decision time

JH: How was your visit to OU?

"I enjoyed it a whole lot. The players were nice and so were the coaches. I just enjoyed hanging out with the team."

JH: What did you think of OU's banquet?

"It was a pretty good banquet. They had great highlight tapes and that was pretty cool."

JH: What did you learn about OU that you did not know before the visit?

"I learned how well the players got along with each other. It is basically like a family and you could tell they had a lot of affection for one another."

JH: What did you think of Norman?

"The town was a little quiet, because people had already started leaving for Christmas break. However, from what I can tell Norman would be a nice place to stay over the next few years."

JH: What did you think of the football team itself?

"I got to watch them practice for two days and I learned that technique-wise I have a lot of work ahead of me. However, if I work hard I realized that physically their offensive linemen weren't much bigger than me. Vince is really a little smaller than me right now, but because he is so technically sound he plays very well. I just need to work hard on my technique and I can get there."

JH: How does recruiting stack up with you at the moment?

"I am not going to commit until I take all my visits, but Oklahoma is definitely one of the schools that is going to be at the top of my list. I have a plan and that is to take all my visits before I commit. I plan on visiting Arizona (1-11) and Arkansas (1-1) and that is it at the moment. I am still talking to several schools about a fourth one on January 25th."
