Cordero Moore, DL, 6'4, 265, 4.8, MESQUITE, TEXAS:
Cordero Moore is one of the quickest and fastest defensive linemen in the state of Texas, turning in a 4.6 40 time in training camp. You combine that with his size and athletic ability, and you have one heck of a defensive line prospect.
"I like playing defensive end and I think that is where I will play in college," said Moore."I will play wherever my coaches will put me. Last year I played nose guard and defensive tackle, before they switched me to end."
Moore is a three-year starter who benches 345 pounds and squats 450 pounds. Mesquite is off to a 1-3 start this season, but Moore has been a dominant force in the defensive line.
"I have been playing pretty well, but as a team we are off to a slow start," said Moore. "We can turn that around and we will turn that around. In my last game I finished with 14 tackles, so I guess I was pretty active."
Moore has been offered by 10 different schools and he is still trying to work through the recruiting process.
"I am still considering all the schools at the moment," said Moore. "I like Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Miami, Texas Tech, LSU and Texas A&M. Oklahoma is recruiting me hard along with those other schools. Oklahoma is a great football team and I went to their spring game and had a chance to meet Bob Stoops. I am going to take one of my visits to Oklahoma. All of the schools that I mentioned have offered me."
Moore is just now starting to set up official visits.
