DeMarcus Granger, DT, 6-3, 325, 5.2, DALLAS (KIMBALL HS), TEXAS:
JH: How is your season going?
DG: "Our team is kind of struggling a little bit. We are 1-3 on the season, but we are going to get it together. I am playing pretty well. I have 38 tackles, three sacks and three caused fumbles."
JH: I bet you never get singled-up on blocks do you?
DG: "I am getting double-teamed on every play, but if they are in a wing set then I am getting hit by all three inside guys. It is an automatic double-team on every play. It is no big deal with the double team unless one is holding me up and the other is cutting me. We have been on the road for four weeks straight and the officials haven't given me many breaks. We get to play at home this weekend and hopefully the officials will give me a break inside."
JH: Have you set any official visits yet?
DG: "No sir. I haven't really done anything with the officials visit yet."
JH: Do you still have a top three?
DG: "Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M are still my top three choices."
JH: Have you been up to any collegiate games?
DG: "I haven't been able to make it to many games because we have been on the road so much that I haven't been able to get around on Saturday."
JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?
DG: "It basically is still the same. Oklahoma is going to be Oklahoma and they are going to be great for a long time. I heard what happened to Dusty (Dvoracek) and I feel for him, but Coach Stoops has to do what he has to do to. I have talked to Dusty before and he has always been a nice guy to me."
"I expect strong discipline from the head coach from a great program like Oklahoma. If a player does something that is wrong, then there are going to be strong consequences. I expect Coach Stoops or any great coach to have strong discipline in his program."
JH: Do you have a recruiting leader and when will you start taking visits?
DG: "I don't have a leader yet. I will start taking my visits after the season."
RECRUITING: Granger still favors three
