RECRUITING: Zirbel set to visit

Murray, Kentucky OL Cory Zirbel talks about his visit to Michigan and his upcoming trip to Norman.

Cory Zirbel, OT, 6-7, 292, 5.3, MURRAY, KENTUCKY:

JH: How is your season going?

CZ: "We are playing pretty well. We won 61-14 and we are now 6-0 on the season. We are ranked fourth in the state right now. The new rankings come out tomorrow and we will see if we move up."

JH: How are you doing individually?

CZ: "They don't keep pancake blocks, but they grade us per game and I have been averaging 93 percent every game."

JH: Are you playing just offensive tackle?

CZ: "We run a lot of unbalanced formations, so I play a lot of tight end. I am not a tight end that goes out for a passes or anything. I am in there to just block. It is basically a glorified tackle position."

JH: Have you taken any officials visits yet?

CZ: "I went to Michigan this past weekend on an unofficial visit. I will take my first official visit to Oklahoma this weekend."

JH: What did you think of your unofficial to Michigan?

CZ: "I liked it quite a bit. It was my first time in the 'Big House' so it went pretty well. I was impressed because I have never seen that many people at a football game before. There were 110,000 people at the game and it was just amazing."

JH: What are you thinking about Oklahoma as you get ready to take your official there?

CZ: "I really like Oklahoma. I was really impressed when I went up there this summer. It is going to be a good game between them and Texas Tech. I can't wait to get there and see what a game day atmosphere is like, so that I can compare it to Michigan."

JH: What will be some of the keys that you will be looking for out of Oklahoma?

CZ: "The big thing will be how comfortable I feel there. I want to hang out with some of the players and stay on campus and see how that feels. I will be watching the offensive line very closely to see how Coach (Kevin) Wilson coaches during a game. I have never had a chance to watch him coach during a game, so that will be interesting for me."

JH: What other visits do you have set up?

CZ: "I am going to Michigan the second weekend in December and then Miami the third in December."
