Alton Dixon, CB, 6-0, 190, 4.48, LUFKIN, TEXAS:
JH: How is your season going?
AD: "We are 5-0 and playing real well. I don't know what we are ranked, but I think we are No. 3 in the state. Most of our games have been pretty lopsided. The closest game we have had was against Tyler Lee."
JH: How are you playing individually?
AD: "I have been playing pretty well. People haven't been throwing to my side, so I have been going all over the field making tackles. I am still the third-leading tackler on the team despite the fact that they never throw to my side. I am really the free safety in our defense, but I will man up on their best receivers. Sometimes they try to out man us by putting their fastest receiver in the slot, but I end up covering him so that doesn't work against us."
JH: Have you been to any games recently?
AD: "No, not really."
JH: Did you go to the Texas A&M game last Saturday?
AD: "No, I didn't go to Texas A&M."
JH: What is going on in recruiting with you?
AD: "My recruiting is coming down to Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Basically, I will choose between one of those two schools. I have looked at it pretty hard and it is going to be a decision based on which school I like best. They are both about even right now and those are the only two schools that I am considering."
JH: You haven't visited either school officially have you?
AD: "No, I haven't visited either school officially."
JH: Is it true that you, Javorskie Lane and McKinner Dixon all want to go to the same school, and the one school that wants all three of you is Texas A&M?
AD: "None whatsoever. They have to do what is best for them."
JH: So you are saying that you three are not planning on going to the same school?
AD: "No, that is not true at all. I have heard all kinds of things. I have heard that me, Javorskie and McKinner are going to the same school, and then I heard that me, Javorski and Martellus (Bennett) were going to the same school."
JH: What are your current thoughts on Oklahoma?
AD: "When I went to Oklahoma's camp my sophomore year it was real nice. They offered me that early and at that time they had not offered anybody at that age. I still like them and I like the style of defense that they play. They go after people and Coach (Bob) Stoops is a cool guy. He will put his best players in the field no matter what age they are."
