RECRUITING: Stoops Bros in battle for DeSoto CB

DeSoto, Texas cornerback Brian Jackson update.

Brian Jackson, CB, 6-1, 210, 4.45, DeSOTO, TEXAS:

JH: You attended the OU/Texas game, so what did you think?

BJ: "It was pretty exciting and pretty cool. I loved how OU played defense in the game and I liked the fact it was a defensive game."

JH: Had you ever been to the game before?

BJ: "No, sir."

JH: What did you think about the atmosphere?

BJ: "It was wild. When I got there I was shocked to see that the stadium was split. I was told that before I left for the game, but I didn't really believe it until I saw it for myself. That was wild. I never expected the crowd to be so loud and crazy. This game was certainly something different."

JH: Did the game itself have any influence on where you might go to school?

BJ: "Kind of, sort of. I really liked the atmosphere. The fact that I could play in a game like that would favor Oklahoma a little bit."

JH: Did you watch the Oklahoma secondary much?

BJ: "I like how they play in the secondary, and it looks like I would have an opportunity to play for them. I think I would fit into what they are trying to do."

JH: How does your recruiting shape up at this point?

BJ: "My top two teams are still Oklahoma and Arizona. I have already been on a visit to Arizona, so I know a little bit more about them. I guess you can say I favor them just a little right now, but I am going to visit Oklahoma and I hope that that I hear something or see something that tells me that Oklahoma is the school for me."

JH: When are you going to visit Oklahoma?

BJ: "I want to visit Oklahoma as soon as possible. I hope I can get up there for their next game or at least the one after that."

JH: How is your season going?

BJ: "We are doing well. We are 5-1 and I am doing pretty well. I have 18 tackles and three interceptions. I had four interceptions, but they took one away from me because they called me for holding. I wasn't holding, but the officials called it and that is the way it was. I got another one later that game."
