RECRUITING: Dixon's heart with Oklahoma

Lufkin, Texas defensive back Alton Dixon says his heart is with Oklahoma, but is that enough for the Sooners to land his services.

Alton Dixon, CB, 6-0, 190, 4.48, LUFKIN, TEXAS:

JH: Did you go to a game this past weekend?

AD: "I went to the Texas A&M/Kansas State game, and that was the last game that I went to."

JH: You didn't make it to the OU/Texas game?

AD: "I had to take the SAT. I feel I did pretty well on that test."

JH: How is your season going?

AD: "It is going pretty good. We are 6-0 on the year."

JH: Are you still playing safety?

AD: "Yes, I am still playing safety and I am third on the team in tackles. I play the run a lot more than I play the pass. I am going to play corner in college."

JH: How is your recruiting shaping up?

AD: "Basically it is Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Washington State and Florida as schools that I am very interested in."

JH: Do you have a leader?

AD: "I am leaning towards Oklahoma."

JH: So the rumors that you are leaning to Texas A&M aren't true?

AD: "I could be going to Texas A&M. My grandfather is very sick, but I think he is going to be OK. If he doesn't recover and I need to stay close to home, then I would probably go to Texas A&M. My heart is at Oklahoma. I hope things work out so that I can go to OU."
