RECRUITING: WR "Ranks" OU in top two

Windsor, North Carolina receiver JeJuan Rankins has the Sooners in his top two heading into his visits

JH: What post season honors have you earned?

"I earned conference Player of the Year and first team All-State. I also made Prep Sports All-American team and a number of recruiting magazines named me to their All-American teams."

JH: What kind of stats did you put up this season?
"I threw for 1,447 yards 20 touchdowns and ran for 546 and nine touchdowns. I also had two kickoff returns for touchdowns and five interceptions on defense."

JH: What is going on in recruiting?

"I am just about ready to take my official visits. I have already been to North Carolina State and went to an unofficial visit to North Carolina. I will go to Georgia (1-11), then Oklahoma (1-1 and Maryland (1-25). I have reschedule my visit to Michigan."

JH: Do you have a leader at this time?

"Not really. I am looking real hard at Georgia and Oklahoma, because those are the two schools that I am really thinking about at this time. That will probably stay that way unless somebody else really makes a run. Oklahoma has a great football program and they have an excellent Communications program. Oklahoma and Georgia both want to play me at wide receiver, but I know a number of schools also like me as a defensive back as well.
