RECRUITING: DE Moore has Oklahoma ties

Houston County, Ga. defensive end Kyle Moore update.

Kyle Moore, DE, 6'6, 250, 4.7, HOUSTON COUNTY, GEORGIA:

JH: How is your season going?

KM: "It is going real good. We are 5-2-1 on the season and we are 2-0 in the region. I am playing well. I have 42 solo tackles, nine sacks and I have scored one touchdown off a fumble recovery. I have 12 batted passes, eight caused fumbles and I have 22 assists. I have put together a pretty good season. I also play tight end, but I don't have a catch this year. I am used primarily as a blocker on offense. I go out for passes sometimes, but they never throw me the ball."

JH: Are you playing defensive end?

KM: "Yes, I am playing defensive end."

JH: What kind of defense do you play in?

KM: "We run a five front and I play in a stance. I can't stand to stand-up, because I can't read the offense that way and I don't feel that I am getting any push when I don't get into a stance."

JH: Have you been to any college games thus far this season?

KM: "The only game that I have been to this year is Georgia and Georgia Southern because these hurricanes, homecoming games and ACT tests have kept me from going to any more."

JH: Do you have a top five in recruiting?

KM: "No, I really don't have a top five. I am taking a visit to USC this weekend. I am also taking one to Oklahoma next Saturday."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

KM: "They are awesome. I love their defense and I like how they are coached on defense."

JH: What schools are you considering?

KM: "I am looking at USC, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Purdue, Oklahoma, and that is about it."

JH: Do you have any ties to Oklahoma or do you just like them?

KM: "I have cousins that live in Oklahoma."

JH: Is Oklahoma recruiting you as a defensive end?

KM: "They are recruiting me as a defensive end and a tight end."

JH: Does Oklahoma have a good chance to sign you?

KM: "Yes, sir they sure do. I like Oklahoma a great deal."
