Syd'Quan Thompson, ATH, 5-10, 180, 4.45, SACRAMENTO (GRANT UNION HS), CALIFORNIA:
JH: How did you like your visit to OU this weekend?
ST: "I enjoyed my visit this weekend. I like the atmosphere and I liked being around Oklahoma, period."
JH: Did the visit go better than you thought it would?
ST: "It went better than I expected. I got to see a lot of stuff that I didn't expect to see and I got to meet a lot of players. The fans and people around the players treated them so well. It was just a good experience."
JH: What did you see that you didn't know much about?
ST: "They showed me around the facilities and the academic area. They showed me all the new academic areas around the campus."
JH: What impressed you about the football team itself?
ST: "I thought the football facility was real nice. It was nice and big, and the weight room looks nice. The football stadium was real nice, and it was huge. On gameday they always sell it out and a lot of people show up. The fans always speak nicely to the players and they were all real cool people."
JH: Does the visit enhance the Sooners chances to sign you?
ST: "Yeah, most definitely. Before coming down there I was interested, but now that I have been there and was able to experience what Oklahoma was lot made my thoughts better on Oklahoma."
JH: Where does OU stand in your recruiting right now?
ST: "They are in my top two or top three. My top three would be Oklahoma, Kansas State and California. Oklahoma is the first school that I visited. I will take my other visits in December or early January."
JH: Where did OU talk about playing you?
ST: "They told me that they wanted me to play a slot receiver like Mark Clayton plays right now and returning kicks and punts."
RECRUITING: Trip better than expected for Thompson
