James McKinney, DT, 6-3, 263, 4.9, LOUISVILLE (CENTRAL HS), KENTUCKY:
JH; How is your season going?
JM: "We are on an eight-game winning streak and won our district. Our playoffs start this Friday and we are one of the favorites to win state."
JH: How are you playing?
JM: "I am playing pretty good. I don't get a lot of action on my side of the ball because they always run away from me. However, I make sure that I give them trouble on my backside rush. I have 11 ½ sacks at this point in the season, and that is pretty much from chasing the quarterback who is always running away from me."
JH: Are you playing defensive end or defensive tackle?
JM: "I am playing defensive end."
JH: Have you set any visits yet?
JM: "No, sir. I haven't."
JH: Do you have a leader at this point?
JM: "No, sir."
JH: What schools are you still considering and do you have a favorite?
JM: "I am still looking at Michigan, Ohio State, Louisville, Kentucky, Clemson, Oklahoma and Nebraska. Michigan, U-of-L and Oklahoma are my three favorite schools right now."
JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?
JM: "I need to go see their campus. I haven't set up a visit there yet, but I am going to. I think they have a need at defensive tackle and they have a need at rushing the quarterback. I understand their situation at defensive tackle, and I think I could help them. OU always has a great defense and I wouldn't mind being a part of that."
JH: Are you close to setting up any visits?
JM: "I may take one this month, but I am not sure because of our playoffs. I want to make sure that I get my full 48-hours and I don't know if I can do that if we are playing in the playoffs. I may not have any choice but to wait until my playoffs are over."
