RECRUITING: OU still in the hunt for Ga. LB Clay?

Jeffersonville, Ga. linebacker Antonio Clay update.

JH: How is your season going?

AC: "We are 9-1 and the first round of playoffs are coming up this weekend. We suffered our loss the first game of the season. It wasn't a bad score, but things just didn't go our way that day. We have been very successful the rest of the way. We have a good chance to win state. The team that beat us 21-7 was ranked No. 1 in the state and they won state last year. I think we can beat them and I don't see any reason why we can't go all the way."

JH: How is your season going?

AC: "I have 103 tackles going into the playoffs. I have 14 tackles for loss, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. I scored a touchdown on offense last Friday and that was my first touchdown this season. I primarily play on defense, but I try to help out when I can."

JH: Haven't you taken a number of your visits already?

AC: "I have been to Oklahoma, Georgia and Clemson so far. I am going to Miami this weekend and my visit will either be with Maryland, Florida State or Auburn."
v JH: How is recruiting going?

AC: "It is pretty cool. I am more focused on what I really want in life and where I want to be. On each visit I am looking to see how I fit in with the team and how I get along with the coaches and players of that team. Each team plays great football, so it will come down to how I feel about each team."

JH: Do you have a favorite at this point?

AC: "No, sir. I don't have a favorite at this point. I am looking at Georgia, Florida State, Miami and Oklahoma as my top four teams."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

AC: "Oklahoma is OU. I love OU, and I can say that easily. I love Coach Stoops and I loved being around the players. I don't think the players would stir me wrong if I came down. I just loved being around them and I really like OU."

JH: You have always seemed to have a great passion for OU. Why is that?

AC: "I am probably crazier about Oklahoma and Miami than any other school. I really like them, but you can put Georgia and Florida State in there as well."

JH: Do you think you will be making your decision on signing day or before that?

AC: "It could be sooner than that. After I take all my visits I am going to take a weekend and talk to my parents and coaches and then make a decision. I don't see what I can't do that."
