Hard work has paid off for Sooner OL Coach Kevin Wilson as Dan Doering (6-6, 290, 5.0) of Barrington, Illinois will visit the Sooners this weekend.
Throughout the last couple of months, it was in doubt whether Doering would visit the Sooners are not. However, Doering recently has began to show the Sooners greater interest and he and his entire family will watch the Sooners host Nebraska.
It has long been thought that Doering was a Big 10 guy, but Iowa (12/10 is the only school from the Big 10 that he will visit. Notre Dame (12/3) will get one of his visits and the Fighting Irish have always been one of Doering's favorites. Nebraska (12/17) and Tennessee will get the other two visits.
Now, it appears the Sooners have a legitimate shot at the No. 5 rated OL in the country. What is the old saying? If the Sooners get a visit, then they have a shot. And the fact that his entire family is coming in with him shows that the Doering's have a legitimate interest in the Sooners.
