RECRUITING: OU not what Atlanta OL expected

Atlanta, Ga. offensive tackle Duke Robinson update.

Duke Robinson, OT, 6-5, 325, 5.7, ATLANTA (BOOKER T. WASHINGTON HS), GEORGIA:

JH: What did you think about your visit to OU this weekend?

DR: "I liked it a lot. It was real nice. It wasn't what I expected, but I liked it a great deal."

DR: What did you expect on the visit?

DR: "I had a great time and I liked it a lot. I thought it was going to be country-time or something, but I found out it was a great college campus and community and Oklahoma City was just 20 minutes away. It is really just like living in Decatur, Ga., which is right next to Atlanta."

JH: What did you think of the football program?

DR: "They have a great football program and they just outwork every body. They play hard the whole game and they never get tired. OU has a great strength and conditioning program and it shows in every game. They play with a lot of poise and they play like a team and that shows up in every game. They are well-coached and a great football team."

JH: What did you think of their offensive line?

DR: "I was impressed with how quick there were and how strong they were."

JH: Now that you have visited OU what are your impressions of the Sooners?

DR: "It is still the same. It is still between Oklahoma and Georgia. My visit to OU will now give me a better perspective when it comes time to make a decision."

JH: Have you visited Georgia yet?

DR: "Not officially, no. I am going to visit Georgia in December."

JH: Is there no separation at all between OU and Georgia? Are they totally even?

DR: "I would say I like Oklahoma a little bit better because I have a better understanding about what they are about and I really like what I have learned about Oklahoma."
