RECRUITING: A&M commit will visit OU, two others

Duncanville, Texas linebacker Jodie Richardson update.

Jodie Richardson, LB, 6-2, 215, 4.45, DUNCANVILLE, TEXAS:

JH: Are you still playing?

JR: "Yeah, we are still in it and we are playing this weekend. We are 9-2 on the year. We beat Plano East 28-0 in the first round of the playoffs. We play Euless Trinity this weekend."

JH: How did you play?

JR: "I had a real good game. I had 13 tackles and three tackles for loss."

JH: What kind of season have you had thus far?

JR: "I had my best season this year. I have right around 100 tackles and I have six sacks on the season. I also have two interceptions.

JH: Are you playing inside linebacker or outside?

JR "I am playing inside linebacker this year, but I think I am getting recruited to play outside linebacker."

JH: Are you still taking visits?

JR: "I am going to take all my visits after football season. I am going to visit Oklahoma and Texas A&M, and I am still verbally committed to them. I am also going to visit Arizona and Oklahoma State."

JH: Are you still committed to Texas A&M?

JR: "My commitment to Texas A&M is still there, but I want to compare schools and see how everything stacks up. I am going to keep somewhat of an open mind."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

JR: "I talked to Coach (Brent) Venables last night and he is a great guy. He told me that I might be able to come in there and play some my freshman season. OU runs the same defensive scheme that we run in high school and my coaches here really like the OU coaches. Our defensive coordinator (Tom Stroud) knows Coach Venables because he also coached at as Kansas State."
