RECRUITING: Granger still likes seven schools

Dallas, Texas defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger talks about his top seven and interest in Oklahoma.

DeMarcus Granger, DT, 6-3, 325, 5.2, DALLAS (KIMBALL HS), TEXAS:

JH: How is recruiting going? Have you set up your visits yet?

DG: "I am taking recruiting one day at a time. A number of coaches have been to school today, so I am getting a chance to meet many of them or to see them again. I have not set up any visits yet, but I am in the process of doing that."

JH: Do you have five or seven schools in the running?

DG: "I have seven schools that I am still considering. I am still considering LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas and Texas A&M. I will pay my own way to the in-state schools and I will take official visits to the schools out of state."

JH: What the most important thing for you in recruiting?

DG: "Academics and the style of defense that a team plays. I want to know how a team lines up and if they have their defensive tackles attacking off the line of scrimmage."

JH: What can you say about the seven schools?

DG: "I really don't have anything negative to say about any school. I don't want to burn any bridges."

JH: What are you thoughts on Oklahoma?

DG: "I like Oklahoma. They are a real good school and they produce a lot of good D-tackles and send them to the pros."
