RECRUITING: Sooners get next shot at Garvin

New Jersey cornerback Michael Ray Garvin Update.

Michael Ray Garvin, CB, 5-8, 178, 4.4, RAMSEY DON BOSCO PREP, NEW JERSEY:

JH: Are you still playing football?

MG: "Friday night we are playing for the state championship."

JH: Are you still having a great season?

MG: "I am playing tailback and my season is going well. S, far I have rushed for 1,600 yards and I have scored 33 touchdowns on the season, three interceptions and around 60 tackles."

JH: Are you sure you want to play cornerback in college?

MG: "I like playing tailback, but I want to play cornerback in college."

JH: Haven't you taken most of your visits already?

MG: "I have been Georgia, Florida State and Colorado. I am going to Oklahoma on the 10th."

JH: What did you think about your visits?

MG: "They were nice. I really enjoyed them all."

JH: Do you have an order of schools?

MG: "No, not really."

JH: Do you have a leader?

MG: "I like Florida State right now a little ahead of the others. I like the coaches and the school there. I like the system they run on defense and they have a great program."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

MG: "I think it is going to be a good visit. I am looking forward to it."

JH: Does FSU have such a lead that they will be very tough to beat or are you still open to signing with any of the schools on your list?

MG: "Yes, I am still wide open and I am not sure where I am going to sign."
