RECRUITING: Texas TE/OL prospect enjoys trip

Texas tight end/offensive line prospect talks about his trip to Norman. Is he still committed to A&M?

JH: How was your visit to Oklahoma?

"It was awesome. Everything was incredible and there is no question that they know football in Norman. I liked how close the team is, because they get along like a family. The coaches were great guys and there seemed to be a good report between players and coaches."

JH: What did you do on the visit?

"We went to Outback and Coaches Restaurant. It seemed that every five minutes we were eating something else. It was great eating, but I am not sure it was good for my health. Brian Odom showed me around campus and we found some good parties to go to."

JH: What are your thoughts on recruiting?

"I am ready for it to be over. I am still verbally committed to Texas A&M, but I am looking at other schools. This is the biggest decision of my life and I really made that commitment without looking at all my options. I am also still considering SMU and Texas Tech. I love the business school at SMU. OU has a good business school. I also know that Texas A&M is a great place."

JH: What did you think of the OU football program?

"It's by far the best football program. Football wise there is no question that OU is the place to be. They talked to me about playing tight end. I watched film of their tight ends and how he plays in their offense and I believe they can help him out."

JH: Are you close to making a definite decision?

"I am going to make up my mind on January 28th and that is after my last visit to A&M. I have visited Texas Tech and Oklahoma so far. I will look at SMU on Thursday and come home on Friday morning.
