RECRUITING: Florida OL will visit Norman

Edgewater, Fla. offensive lineman Matt Hardrick update.

Matt Hardrick, OL, 6-5, 342, 5.7, ORLANDO (EDGEWATER HS), FLORIDA:

JH: What is your visit schedule?

MR: "I am going to Florida State the first week in January. Coach Wilson from Oklahoma called me earlier and we are trying to get a visit set up in January."

JH: So you haven't taken any visits in December?

MR: "I haven't taken any visits thus far."

JH: What schools do you hope to visit?

MR: "Miami, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Florida State, Florida."

JH: Since you are still considering all three Florida schools, do you really have a legitimate interest in leaving the state?

MR: "I have an interest in leaving the state, but there is no problem with me staying in or leaving the state."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

MR: "My thoughts on Oklahoma are good. I can't wait to set up my visit there and take my visit there to see what they have to offer me."

JH: Is the depth chart and playing time much of a factor with you?

MR: "It is a very big factor because I could come in and either start as a true freshman or get early playing time. That would be a good deal for me because I would get a good feel for the system early and get a chance to enjoy the program that much more for four years."

JH: Do you have a leader at this point?

MR: "I would have to say that Florida State is my leader by a slight bit. The attention that Florida State shows me is very unique. They come out to my school each week or call me, and they let me know how much they need me in the offensive line to help their team out."
