Cyclones continue dominance over OU

Oklahoma's Caton Hill defends against Iowa State's Angie Welle in the first half of the Cyclones 82-66 win over Oklahoma

Over the last two seasons Sherri Coale's Sooners have dominated the Big 12...except for Iowa State.

Fourteenth-ranked Iowa State (14-2, 2-3) continued their domination of No. 3 Oklahoma (14-2, 4-1) under Coale ending the Sooners' 18-game conference winning streak with their 82-66 win Tuesday in Ames. Coale is now 0-7 against Iowa State.

The Cyclones, who led 34-31 at the half, shot an astounding 78 percent in the second half and used an 18-4 run in the second session to break the game open.

Iowa State forward Angie Welle hit 10-of-11 shots and led the Cyclones with 38 points while Tracy Grahan added 25.

LaNeishea Caufield led the Sooners with 24 points while Caton Hill added 13.

Next up for the Sooners is a battle with Texas this Saturday at the Lloyd Noble Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
