DeSoto, Texas cornerback Brian Jackson talks about his commitment to Oklahoma.

Brian Jackson, CB, 6-0, 197, 4.5, DeSoto, Texas:

JH: Congratulations on committing to OU. I know you had a very tough decision between OU and Arizona?

BJ: "I really liked both schools to tell you the truth, but Oklahoma is so close. They have a program and a team that is one in a million almost, and that is not to bad of an option for me."

JH: Was a very tough decision between OU and Arizona?

BJ: "Yes, it was tough, very tough. I haven't been able to talk to Coach Mike Stoops yet, but I will soon."

JH: What did Bob Stoops tell you when you finally committed?

BJ: "He just sounded real excited about it and said that he had been waiting a while on it."

JH: What are your thoughts about the cornerback situation that you are getting ready to get into at OU?

BJ: "I think I have a real good chance to come in and start early or play early. It all depends on how hard I work and how hard I get after it."

JH: People are always asking me how big or how fast you are, so please give us the latest?

BJ: "I am 6-foot-2 or 6-foot-1 and ¾ and right now, and I weigh 207. I can run a 4.46 or 4.45. I noticed that there has been some question about my speed, so please tell everybody that I can run fast enough. (Brian started laughing).
