Lamont Robinson, LB, 6-2, 220, 4.65, SALEM, NEW JERSEY:
I talked to four-star linebacker Lamont Robinson about his latest feelings in his recruiting race and I asked him to give us his latest thoughts?
"As of right now it doesn't look to good for the University of Virginia," said Robinson. "I am beginning to not feel good about being committed to Virginia, and that has come about as I take my other visits. It is not that Virginia has done anythng wrong, but it is basically because Georgia and Oklahoma have made great presentations to me and they both have a great opportunity for me."
So what separates Oklahoma and Georgia from Virginia?
"They both have great programs and they have now set themselves ahead of Virginia. I am also talking to Iowa and West Virginia, and depending on how my in-home visits go I may also visit them in January."
So, the Sooners have made up some major ground and now have no worse than a 50-50 chance to sign Robinson. One great thing in the Sooners' favor is that Robinson has developed a great relationship with Coach Brent Venables, and that certainly can't hurt the Sooners.
