RECRUITING: Florida DL says Sooners have a shot

Miami, Fla. defensive lineman Kareem Brown talks about his visit to Norman and busy week ahead

KAREEM BROWN, DE, 6'5, 272, 4.78, MIAMI NORLAND, FLORIDA:

JH: How was your visit to OU?

"It was real good. I really enjoyed it and liked the players and staff members, and I definitely like the facilities."

JH: Did the visit change your visit to OU?

"Yes, the visit has changed my opinion of Oklahoma. The visit was better than I thought it was going to be. Like I have been trying to say since day one Miami, LSU and Oklahoma are pretty much even."

JH: So, you are saying that OU is still very much in the hunt?

"Yeah, for sure there is a possibility that I would sign with OU."

JH: What did you think of the OU football program itself?

"I love the aggressiveness of the defense and the go get ‘em attitude of the defense. My style was limited in high school, because we didn't have an attack defense in high school. They way OU plays defense is the way I want to play defense."

JH: What coaches will you see this week?

"Ron Zook and Coach Red Anderson of Florida and Coach Bill Miller and Head Coach Bobby Williams of Michigan State were at my home tonight. I am meeting with Jackie Shipp tomorrow and I also will meet with Miami Head Coach Larry Coker, assistant Randy Shannon and Grant Mark. As soon as they left my mom said that she enjoyed coach Bob Stoops and Coach Ron Zook the best."

JH: What coaches do you like personally?

"I like them all, but it is really hard to tell. They are all going to be nice, because they are recruiting me. I am getting to get their best side and that is it.
