RECRUITING: Louisiana safety has made his decision

Nic Harris says he's made a choice, but is only revealing his final three. Did OU make the cut?

Nic Harris, S, 6-3, 210, 4.7, ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA:

JH: I hear you are not feeling well?

NH: "I have been sick, but I am doing OK. I have been battling pneumonia, but I haven't missed any school this week."

JH: Well, at least while you have been sick you have been able to think about some things?

NH: "Yes, I have been able to think about some things."

JH: What is the latest in recruiting?

NH: "I am still trying to think through my top five. I am pretty firm in what I am thinking and I have a good idea where I am going. I am going to announce on signing day."

JH: Have you narrowed things down at all?

NH: "I am pretty much talking to three schools at this point. I am talking to Michigan, OU and Nebraska and really thinking hard about OU and Michigan, but Nebraska is still in it."

JH: What is it about these three schools?

NH: "They just showed the most consistency and they stayed after me the most."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

NH: "Oklahoma is a great place to be. There are not too many things that you can say bad about OU. It is a great place to be."

JH: OU just lost Brodney Pool to the NFL a year early, so now OU has graduated both starting safeties. Will that fact have any effect on your decision?

NH: "We will find out on February the second."

JH: Is playing early as a true freshman a factor?

NH: "Playing is playing, whether it is early or midway through season. Getting the opportunity is the big thing."
