Good news Sooner fans. Wide Receiver Coach Darrell Wyatt has turned down an opportunity to be the wide receiver coach of the Green Bay Packers to stay at Oklahoma.
Wyatt gave this position tremendous thought, but eventually felt at this point it was in his best interest to stay at OU.
Wyatt has developed into one of the top assistant coaches in college football and soon you will be hearing his name associated with jobs as an offensive coordinator or a head coach. He is another assistant coach at Oklahoma that is now getting offers every year to coach at other places, which is another great sign that shows the Sooners have great staff.
However, for now the Sooners will continue to employee a coach that this reporter and many others are now beginning to believe is the best wide receiver coach in the country.
