RECRUITING: OU receiver propsect up to 6 offers

Virginia Beach, Va. wide receiver Damon McDaniel update.

Damon McDaniel may be one of the biggest sleepers in the recruiting ranks because he plays on the same field as his more celebrated teammate Percey Harvin. However, McDaniel can more than held his own at wide receiver hauling in 68 passes a year ago for 1,125 yards and 16 touchdowns.

"I actually play more wide receiver than Percey because he also plays running back and quarterback for us," said McDaniel. "Our coaches just like getting the ball into his hands and he is a great player. I think I am played pretty well last year and had a very good year for. I think I am going to have an even better year this season."

McDaniel did well at the Scout Network San Antonio Combine, where he benched 260 pounds and had a 36-inch vertical jump. Thus far he has been offered by North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Syracuse.

"I am pretty much wide open and I want to see who offers me in the future," said McDaniel. "I still want to talk to whoever wants to talk to me. I like other schools like Oklahoma and USC, but I have to wait and see what other offers come my way."

McDaniel doesn't expect to go to any other camps this summer.
