The Oklahoma (2-0) baseball team put on another hitting display rolling Arkansas Little Rock, 16-6, Saturday afternoon at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
The Sooners pounded out 18 hits and scored 12 runs in the first three innings to put the game away.
Senior rightfielder Chris Jakubauskas hit a bases-clearing triple and a two-run homer, while senior Charlie Frasier is still batting .1000 after hitting a two- run homer and going 2-for-2. Frasier now has two homers and eight RBI on the year in two games and has homered from both sides of the plate.
Sophomore third baseman Denver Kitch hit a solo homer and went 2-for-5. Reggie Willits also added two doubles and Matt Arkison had one double.
Sophomore Buddy Blair was impressive in his start going four innings, giving up three hits, one walk and one strikeout.
The Sooners are now 2-0 on the year while Arkansas Little Rock drops to 3-2. Oklahoma goes for the sweep Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM.
