The honor of being the first verbal commitment to the Oklahoma Sooner football recruiting class of 2006 goes to Athlete James Henry (6'2, 190, 4.5) of Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas.
The Sooners just got film on Henry last week. Based on that, they offered him and a day later Henry and his grandmother called OU back and committed to the Sooners.
Henry plays running back and defensive back at Samuel Clemens and will probably be a defensive back and OU. He projects as both a corner and safety.
We will have more details on Henry and his commitment later today.
