Oklahoma (4-1) bashed out 19 hits and five home runs en route to completing a series sweep of Southeast Missouri State (0-3) with their 18-5 win over the Indians Sunday in Norman.
Designated hitter Tyler Johnson paved the way with four RBI's and one home run, while Charlie Frasier hit his team-leading third home run of the season.
Freshmen centerfielder Brandon Jones, rightfielder Chris Jakubauskas and catcher Ryan Richardson also joined the home run parade for the Sooners.
Jones, a receiver on the Oklahoma football team, pinch hit for Johnson in the fifth inning and collected his first hit as a Sooner, a single to left field. Jones hit his first career collegiate home run in the sixth inning.
The Sooners jumped on Southeast Missouri State starter Donnie Fuller in the first inning with with five runs, ignited by two-run home runs by Johnson and Jakubauskas.
Oklahoma added another run in the third and blew the game open with a seven-run fifth and five-run seventh to take an 18-1 lead into the final three innings.
Buddy Blair started on the mound and improves to 2-0 after pitching five solid innings while allowing only one earned run on five hits while striking out two Indian batters.
The Sooners will host Lamar for a three-game series in Norman beginning Friday at 3 p.m. at L. Dale Mitchell Field.
