OKLAHOMA CITY —Kami Keiter pitched a three-hit shutout and helped her own cause with a two-run first inning single, as the Sooners beat Kansas 5-0 to stave off elimination in the Big 12 Softball Tournament at Oklahoma City's Don E. Porter Hall of Fame Stadium Thursday afternoon.
Jessica Leslie also drove in two runs in the Sooners four-run first inning that provided the senior left-hander with all the support she needed. OU added a run in the third on a passed ball to in raising their season record to 46-14.
OU will face the loser of Thursday afternoon's Texas A&M/Baylor contest in another elimination game at 11 a.m. on Friday. The Sooners need to win three straight games to make it to Saturday afternoon's championship game.
