After dropping the first game of the Bedlam series to the Cowboys 3-1, Oklahoma bounced back in game two Saturday night with a 4-3 win at the Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma State took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but the Sooners fought back in the second on a two-run single by centerfielder Chuckie Caufield to take the lead.

In the top of the fourth, Oklahoma added a pair of runs to push the lead to 4-1. Russell Raley walked to start the inning and later scored on a fielding error off a grounder hit by Kevin Smith. Two batters later, freshman Kody Kaiser knocked Smith in on a fielder's choice that would eventually prove to be the game-winning run.

The Cowboys added another run in the bottom of the fourth to cut OU's lead to 4-2, but Sooner reliver Will Savage came in with one out in the sixth in relief of starter Garrett Patterson and gave up just one run over the next 3.2 innings.

Patterson, who improved to 2-2 on the year, gave up three runs and struck out six in 5.1 innings, while Savage picked up his first save of the season.

With the win, Oklahoma improves to 27-22 overall and 10-13 in Big 12 play. The Cowboys drop to 32-19 and 11-12 in conference action.

The two teams will meet again in the series finale at 2 p.m. Sunday in Oklahoma City. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
