Kelvin Sampson is on a roll.

A little over a month after landing top 40 prospect Scott Reynolds of Herndon, Va. and top 15 recruit Damion James of Nacogdoches, Texas, Sampson has done it again.

This time, however, Sampson and the Sooners have pulled in a prospect who resides a little closer to Norman in 6-foot-8 forward Keith Clark from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City.

Clark, who is currently ranked 31st in's Class of 2006 rankings, talked with late Tuesday night about his decision.

JH: Talk about your commitment to OU tonight?

KC: "My decision is based on my dream and my family. I wanted to play college basketball close to my family because I am very close to my family and we are a very close group. I didn't want to go far away to play college basketball and then I grew up always wanting to play for Oklahoma. They have always been my favorite team and Coach Sampson has made them one of the best teams in the country. When you add everything together, this decision was pretty easy for me."

JH: I have been hearing rumors about this decision for some time. Have those rumors been true in that you have been thinking about this for a long time or did this just come together tonight?

KC: "This has been a decision that I have been thinking about for a long time. I have been talking to my family about it and we just feel it is better for me to go ahead and commit to OU because that is where I have always wanted to play anyway."

JH: I know you have been a fan of the program for some time, but what is it about the program that has you excited about OU?

KC: "I like the future of the program. I have talked to Scottie (Reynolds) a bunch and we have become close. I talk to Damion (James) off and on, and we think that three of us on the same team is really going to be something special, especially with all the other talent that is already at OU."

JH: I know you have good skills and you handle the ball well, so how do you feel you will fit into Coach Sampson's system?

KC: "I think I will easily fit into Coach Sampson's offense because I am unselfish. I would rather pass the ball than score, but I can score. Whatever he draws up I will be able to make it work."

JH: How well do you feel you will score the ball in college?

KC: "I feel I can score on the inside or the outside. Whatever the team needs I can get the job done."

JH: What other schools did you consider?

KC: "Kansas, Texas Tech, Florida State and Maryland."
