The University of Oklahoma Tulsa University agreed to move thier 2002 season season-opener, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 31, to Friday, August 30, the two schools announced today.
The game will be played at Skelly Stadium in Tulsa and was moved to Friday because because is no high school football being played that week, and to accomodate national televison.
"We have the opportunity to play a nationally televised game and yet hold true to our belief that we should not conflict with the high schools."
"Fortunately, this game fell on a night that precedes the high school regular season."
The game will be nationally televised on ESPN at 7 p.m.
