RECRUITING: Bedlam Battle for Muonelo?

Edmond Sante Fe high school star guard Obi Muonelo talks about his favorites after his unofficial visit to Norman on Wednesday. Muonelo, who led Sante Fe to the Oklahoma Class 6A State Champioship last season, is currently ranked as the 70th best rising senior in the nation by Scout.com.

Obi Muonelo, G, EDMOND (SANTA FE HS), OKLAHOMA:

JH: How did your unofficial visit to OU today go today?

OM: "I had a great visit to Norman today. I spent a lot of time with Coach (Kelvin) Sampson and we are real cool. I had a great day talking to Coach Sampson about different things. My visit to Norman went real cool."

JH: Now that you have been to OU, what are your thoughts with your recruiting?

OM: "I really like Oklahoma right now. Right now, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are my top two schools. I really like Oklahoma right now."

JH: In another national report from the Scout Network, you said that Oklahoma State and Florida were your leaders. Now that you have visited Norman are you saying your thoughts have changed on that subject?

OM: "I can only say that I had a great visit at Oklahoma and they know what is up."

JH: What did you do on your visit today?

OM: "I got a chance to do everything on my visit today that I would get to do on an official visit. I had a chance to meet all the players, Bob Stoops, and Joe Castiglione. I had a chance to meet everybody. They players were real open and they had a lot of intensity during their workouts. They were very friendly to me and they were real cool for me to deal with."

JH: What has it been like to play for Athlete's First, and how are you playing right now?

OM: "That has been real sharp. We had a chance to play in New Orleans and so far this summer I am averaging about 21 points. I think we are going to be one of the top five teams in the nation by the end of the summer."

JH: When will you announce your decision?

OM: "I hope to announce my decision in early August."
