OU splits double-header with UC-Riverside

The Oklahoma Sooners split their double-header with Cal-State Riverside Saturday losing the second game 8-6 after winning the first game 5-1.

Austin Mix was the losing pitcher in game two, dropping his record to 0-1 on the year.

The Sooners are now 8-3 on the year and will play the series finale tomorrow starting at 3:00 PM central time.

Senior RHP Rocky Cherry was the winning pitcher running his record to 2-2 on the year. Cherry went 7.1 innings, giving up six hits, one run and striking out seven.

Mark Roberts came on in relief and picked up his first save of the year, going 1.2 innings.

Luke Alexander had two hits. Reggie Willits scored a run and drove in a run, Spencer Wyman drove in a run and Matt Bose drove in Eddie Cornejo with another run.
