RECRUITING: Georgia LB set for Sept. 3 visit

Rome, Ga. linebacker Toryan Smith talks about his potential visits and interest in Oklahoma.

Toryan Smith, LB, 6-0, 241, 4.8, ROME, GEORGIA:

JH: How are workouts going?

TS: "We started back in school August 5th and our first game is Friday night. We had two scrimmages and I played OK. During our scrimmages games, we only get to play the first quarter and then our backups play the rest of the game. Then last night I had 12 to 13 tackles."

JH: What position are you playing?

TS: "I play inside and for the most part I am being recruited to play inside."

JH: Did you take any unofficial visits this summer?

TS: "I went up to LSU and it was pretty nice. LSU is a pretty good place."

JH: What is going on in recruiting with you at this time?

TS: "I am going to a bunch of different games. I haven't narrowed down my choices yet, I want to see those games before I start to narrow my choices down."

JH: Where do you hope to watch games?

TS: "I am going to games at LSU, Tennessee, Michigan, Oklahoma, Florida, Notre Dame and a couple of others. Some of those will be official, like Oklahoma on September 3. I am also going to Michigan (vs. Ohio State), Notre Dame (vs. USC) and to UCLA, but I don't have that set up yet. The last official is going to be to Florida (vs. Florida State)."

JH: So you are pretty wide open in recruiting right now?

TS: "There are seven or eight teams that I am still looking at. I also want to get up to Nebraska and see a game. All of those teams are still teams that I am looking at."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

TS: "I would say they are one of my top three teams. I think they have a great linebacker program and I think I can come in and play during my early years. I like Coach (Brent) Venables and Coach (Bob) Stoops. I think they have a great program."
