RECRUITING: OU still in the mix for Maryland CB?

Pomfret, Md. cornerback A.J. Wallace update.

A.J. Wallace, CB, 6-1, 195, POMFRET (McDONOUGH HS), MARYLAND:

JH: How did your summer go?

AJ: "I went to Ohio State for an unofficial visit and I went to Michigan for camp. Other than that, I have just been working out for the season. My bench went up to 305 and my squat to 410. My coaches is talking about moving me to safety, but he is not sure yet. I am more than likely going to stay at corner, but the idea has been tossed up."

JH: What did you think of your time at Ohio State and Michigan?

AJ: "Ohio State was pretty good, I got to meet some of the players. I got a chance to see a high school all-star game and I got a chance to see what a game was like at Ohio State. The camp at Michigan was great. I had a chance to learn some good technique and work on my feet."

JH: Have you played any games yet?

AJ: "Our season starts September 9. I can't wai. I am anxious for the season to start."

JH: How many do you have at this time?

AJ: "I think my total now is 56."

JH: Have you narrowed down your choices any at all?

AJ: "I kind of have it narrowed down a little bit. I have it down to a top seven I think. I am looking at Nebraska, Ohio State, Florida State, Florida, Miami, LSU and Oklahoma. I don't have a favorite yet and I probably won't until I take my visits."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

AJ: "Oklahoma is a pretty good program. I am just waiting to see how they do this year. I am looking forward to seeing what they do with their quarterback situation. I just need to get there and see what their program is all about. I hear great things about it, but I only know that from a distance. All I know about Oklahoma is what I read. I need to get there and see the program. I am thinking hard about visiting Oklahoma, but I just need to talk to them about some dates."

JH: Have you set up any visits at this time?

AJ: "I have set up visits with Nebraska (10-29), but I may change the date to Nebraska. I may try to move it up. I have also set a visit to Ohio State (9-10). I haven't set my other three yet. I just have to do more research on those five remaining schools and see which three I want to visit."
