Richardson, Texas defensive end Ugo Chinasa talks about his summer progress and favorites.

Ugo Chinasa, DE, 6-5, 229, 4.8, RICHARDSON (BERKNER HS), TEXAS:

JH: What did you do this summer?

UC: "I played AAU basketball and played seven-on-seven all summer. I also went to the Oklahoma State camp in Richardson, Texas. I liked that camp pretty well because there were a lot of people there."

JH: How did you do in your opening game?

UC: "We won our first game 24-17 last week. This week we play Duncanville."

JH: How did you do individually?

UC: "I didn't play well in the game because my back is hurting me. I have a muscle strain or something. I couldn't move very well and just didn't tackle as well as I can. I finished with four or five tackles and three hurries."

JH: Are you playing defensive end?

UC: "Yes, I am playing weak-side defensive end."

JH: I know you worked hard in the weight room this summer, so did you get any bigger?

UC: "I am close to 6-6 and 230 pounds."

JH: How many offers have you received?

UC: "I have over 20 right now."

JH: Do you have a favorite or list of favorites?

UC: "I haven't narrowed them down that much. I guess I have narrowed them down to 10."

JH: So who made your top ten?

UC: "I am looking at LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Baylor, Alabama, UCLA, Kansas State and North Carolina."

JH: Out of that ten do you have a favorite?

UC: "I would say that LSU and Oklahoma are probably my favorites right now."

JH: What is it that you like about Oklahoma?

UC: "They are pretty good. They have a great program and they play in a big conference."

JH: What is it you like about LSU?

UC: "They have a great college and they are a high-level program. They also play in the SEC."

JH: Have you set any visits yet?

UC: "I haven't yet, but I will in a week or two."
