Recruiting: LSU commit still considering OU

Klein, Texas offensive lineman Matt Allen update.

Matt Allen, OL, 6-3, 278, KLEIN (COLLINS HS), TEXAS:

JH: How is your season going?

MA: "We started off pretty rough because we lost a bunch of starters this year. We only returned four starters on both sides of the ball. We lost our first two games in close games. Michael (Goodson) rolled his ankle before the first game and he didn't play in the first two games. He is back now and he will play this week."

JH: How well did you play in the game?

MA: "I played real well, but I obviously wasn't happy because we didn't win. I did pretty well, I think. I graded out at 90 percent for both games. I am playing left guard, and I love playing guard. I can also play center, but I really like playing guard. I am projected as a center, but I hope I play guard at college."

JH: You like playing guard, while most prep OLs want to play tackle. Why do you like playing guard so much?

MA: "I like to come off the ball and hit people. At guard, I can do that and playing inside is a bigger challenge for me. That is where the bigger people are and I can just get after them. We pull quite a bit and do a lot of inside and outside traps."

JH: Are you still committed to LSU?

MA: "I am still committed to LSU."

JH: Are you still considering Oklahoma?

MA: "My top two are LSU and Oklahoma. I am committed to LSU, but I have still kept my window open to Oklahoma. I talked to the OU coaches and I keep the communication open. I am still committed to LSU. We will just she how it goes."

JH: When are you going to take your official visits?

MA: "I took all my visits this summer and I don't know I am going to take any more. I saw all my schools this summer and I think that is good enough for me."
