Lance Kendricks, WR, 6-4, 209, 4.49, MILWAUKEE (KING HS), WISCONSIN:
Lance Kendricks is one of those guys who appears to be too good to be true.
Kendricks broke into the starting line-up as a freshman catching three passes for 89 yards in the final game of that season. Since then, he has been a fixture in the starting line-up catching 31 passes for 735 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, with 12 of those coming off receptions and three others on interceptions returned for touchdowns.
"This year I have caught 15 passes for 336 yards and three touchdowns on offense," said Kendricks. "I also have another touchdown on a punt return of 79 yards. I am playing wide receiver, punt return, kick return, kicker and I rotate in at safety and corner. I don't mind playing all those positions. I think it is fun to rotate in on defense and try to get a quick pick or to do something exciting."
Kendricks can bench 250 pounds, squats 450 and has posted a 38-inch vertical jump. He also does the triple jump (48'10 ¾), where his talent there has earned him a scholarship offer form Oklahoma in track.
"I want to participate in both football and track in college," said Kendricks. "All the schools that have offered me have agreed to let me do both sports. Wisconsin, Indiana, Purdue and Arkansas have all offered and agreed to let me play both sports."
What schools at this point does Hendricks have an interest in?
"Out of the schools that have offered, I would say that Wisconsin, LSU and Arkansas," said Kendricks. "Out of the schools that I am talking to, but haven't offered that would include UCLA, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Michigan, Tennessee and Minnesota."
What are Kendricks thoughts on Oklahoma?
"I am very interested in Oklahoma and if they offer I would seriously consider it," said Kendrick. "They have offered me a chance to take an official visit there. OU offered me a chance to visit today. They wanted some more tape and I sent them some more today. Oklahoma is one of my favorite schools. If they offered me I would seriously consider signing with Oklahoma.
"The reason that I am actually talking to Oklahoma is because of Coach (Mark Napier) the new jumping coach at Oklahoma. He is from Wisconsin and he knows a lot about me. He contacted me and wanted some tape of my triple jump. I have been talking to him a couple of years. I just met or talked to Coach Wyatt the other day on the phone."
Kendricks has qualified academically.
