Recruiting: OU still high on RB's list

Virginia running back Evan Royster update.

Evan Royster, RB, 6-0, 190, 4.45, FAIRFAX (WESTFIELD HS), VIRGINIA:

JH: How is the season going for your team and for you individually?

ER: "We are having a great year. We are 7-0 and ranked No. 1 in our district. Our district is the toughest district in the state as we have four of the top five teams in our district. I am having a good year. I carried the ball 133 times for 1,567 yards and 20 touchdowns. I don't get a chance to catch the ball much as teams are always keying on me and have me covered. I have three catches for 40 yards or something like that."

[b]JH: You have a great chance to get 2,000-plus yards this season. You have to be pumped about the year?

ER: "I am just blessed. I have a good offensive line in front of me I am having a good season."

[b]JH: How you taken any visits lately?

ER: "I have taken the one official visit to Oklahoma, and that is it. I haven't had a chance to take another official visit, but I do plan on going to the Virginia Tech/Miami game on December 2nd unofficially. I haven't been able to go on any official visits."

[b]JH: How is recruiting going?

ER: "It is not as hectic as it was earlier, but I know that is because we are into the season and they are busy and I am busy. I still think it is going well. I have a number of great schools that are interested in me that I also have an interest in them."

[b]JH: What schools do you hope to visit?

ER: "I am still considering the same schools. I have visited Oklahoma and I hope to visit Virginia Tech. I am waiting on an offer from Miami, which I think is coming soon, and then I will set a visit with Miami. I have become interested in Alabama and Florida State and I am considering a visit to both schools."

[b]JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

ER: "Oklahoma is a team that is still very high on my list. I like Oklahoma. They are a program that I have respect for. I still have a great interest in Oklahoma and they are going to be one of the schools that I am considering at the end."
