Recruiting: DT still planning visits?

Destrehan, La. DT Chaz Washington talks about Oklahoma's chances despite a recent verbal to Miami.

Chaz Washington, DT, 6-0, 300, 5.1, DESTREHAN, LOUISIANA:

JH: How is your season going?

CW: "We are in the playoffs with an 8-1 record. We are ranked fifth in the state and I like our chances going into the playoffs."

JH: How are you playing right now?

CW: "I am playing decent right now. I am still trying to get over this injury that I have. I have a torn ligament in my foot, but I am getting better every day and I am getting better."

JH: Is it true you have committed to Miami?

CW: "I committed to Miami on October 31. I feel that Miami is the school for me. I talked to my dad and my coach about it and at that time we felt that was the best for me. I think in Miami they can make me the best player I can be. Plus, when I think about life after football I think Miami with all their resources can be great for me."

JH: So Oklahoma and everybody else is totally out of it at this time?

CW: "I am still going to take a visit to Oklahoma. Like I told the coaches at Miami, I still want to take my visits and I am going to take two. I am going to go to Oklahoma and Nebraska and see if I am making the right decision or not. I am 99 percent sure I am going to go to Miami, but I want to see if I am making a mistake or not. I want to check things out at Oklahoma and compare their facilities and look at their football program from within the football program. I want to give Oklahoma a chance."

JH: When are you visiting OU?

CW: "I still have to set that up with Coach Wilson. We talked on the phone last night, but we didn't get a date set. My coach is going to set it up and then we will take it from there."
