Recruiting: Top Texas LB checks out Norman

Haltom City, Texas linebacker Anthony Lewis talks about his visit to Oklahoma.

Anthony Lewis, LB, 6-1, 215, HALTOM CITY, TEXAS:

JH: What did you think about your visit to OU?

AL: "I enjoy it. It was a really good game."

JH: What did you enjoy about the visit?

AL: "I just enjoyed the whole visit. On a visit like I had to Oklahoma, there isn't just one thing about the visit I liked. I did like talking to Coach (Brent) Venables and talking to all the players."

JH: What kind of relationship do you have with Coach Venables?

AL: "We have a great relationship. We talk every week and we have some great conversations. I like that about Coach Venables. We just talk about different things, not always about football.

JH: Since you had been to Norman once before did you learn anything new about OU that you didn't know before?

AL: "I got a chance to see what their gameday atmosphere is like. I got a chance to see how crazy their fans were, how the players get ready for a game day and how the coaches act and coach on gameday. It was a great atmosphere on Saturday."

JH: How many visits have you taken now?

AL: "That was my third visit. I have also been to Texas A&M and Notre Dame. I don't have any others set up. I am also considering Oklahoma State, and I will set up a date with them at some point."

JH: What are you thoughts on recruiting now that you have been to three schools?

AL: "I don't have a leader yet. I like all three schools and I have liked several different things about all three schools. If I had liked something about one school over the others then they would be my leader, but that is not the case at this time."

JH: Did Oklahoma enhance their opportunity to sign you with your visit?

AL: "Yes, they did. The first time I visited on Junior Day I didn't get a good feel for what Oklahoma is all about. I got a chance to really see what Oklahoma was all about and they were very impressive."
