Recruiting: RB favors Oklahoma and another

Alexandria, Louisiana RB Chris Brown says two schools are dead even.

Chris Brown RB, 5-11, 195, 4.5, ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA:

JH: Are you still playing?

CB: "No, we lost out in the first round of the playoffs."

JH: How did you finish the season statistically?

CB: "I finished up with 1,700 yards and 22 touchdowns. My season went pretty good. We had some things that didn't go our way. We had an ineligible player that we didn't know was ineligible. We had to forfeit three games, including the last game, which cost us the district championship. That affected us going into the playoffs and we had to play a higher ranked team before we should have, and then we didn't win the game. We had a pretty good season, but that was frustrating."

JH: What sports will you get into now?

CB: "I go into track now. I am going to run the 300 high hurdles, the mile relay (anchor leg) and the 4X200 (first leg/21.7). I am also going to get into my weight-lifting program."

JH: What is going on in recruiting?

CB: "I have been to Oklahoma and Arkansas so far. I am still going to visit Mississippi State and Ole Miss. Mississippi State and Ole Miss are just now getting in on me, but I want to see what they have to offer. I am going to Mississippi State in January and to Ole Miss on December 2nd."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

CL: "I am very high on Oklahoma. Nothing has changed with me when it comes to Oklahoma. I still like Oklahoma a lot."

JH: What did you think about your visit to Arkansas?

CL: "My mom liked Arkansas a lot. I would say that Arkansas and Oklahoma are about the same."

JH: Do you have a favorite?

CL: "I would say it would be Oklahoma and Arkansas."

JH: Are you going to be able to make it up for the final OU home game?

CL: "I have a friend who is going to the OU/Oklahoma State game and I hope to be able to go with him."
